It's been a great week for the 12 of us at St Petrocks, with a steady stream of visitors including friends, artists, and interested visitors (and permutations of all three). We've sold work but, more importantly, had some great conversations. The final two days are here, so please drop in and see us. Details of the people who are exhibiting can be found here.
We have booked St Petrocks Church for Art Week Exeter from May 22nd to 28th. The show will be entitled 'Exeter's Vanished Rock Venues and other stories' and will feature podcasts, photos, zines and other stories about or from Exeter. It includes writers and artists from the CoLab 'Listening to the City' podcast group, the Phoenix Artists Writing Group, the Analogue Collective zine group and other individuals.
I have now set up a separate blog - Steve Brown Art Walks - to record my occasional art walking, which can be accessed here. As I say in the blog: I’m not keen on physical exercise and have a low tolerance for the colour green – which tends to rule out much walking in the landscape. So this blog is really just a record of a few short – mainly local – walks. There’s no clever exploration of psychogeog theory, just a diary in words and pictures.
